Oscar Piastri wins FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2025; all eyes now on unforgettable finale in 2026

With Oscar Piastri taking the chequered flag as winner of the fifth edition of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN DUTCH GRAND PRIX – an event witnessed by 305,000 visitors this week – attention now turns to the last chapter in 2026. “The Final Lap is the very last chance for fans to experience unforgettable moments in Zandvoort with this unique backdrop,” said Robert van Overdijk, CEO of the Dutch Grand Prix.

Van Overdijk: “That realisation has really sunk in this week, not only for us and the partners who make this possible, but also for fans and the international media. The drive to turn the last edition into a truly memorable one is strong, and it starts now.”

Run on tickets

The run on tickets for the final edition of the Dutch Grand Prix, available until 7 September, has already been overwhelming. Van Overdijk is not surprised. “We’re not done yet. Zandvoort is bracing itself for one last wave of sound and emotions. Already you can feel, among our partners, our fans, and within our organisation, an whirlwind of pride—and that feeling will only grow stronger next year.”

Long-cherished wish

The fifth edition this week is also one to look back on with great satisfaction, says Jan Lammers, Sporting Director of the Dutch Grand Prix. Alongside a spectacular race, highlights included the unveiling of a massive fan tribute banner and the breathtaking Royal Netherlands Air Force flyby just before the start.

“The flyby was a long-cherished wish of the fans—something they see at major sporting events abroad and have wanted here as well.”

National pride

“It added to the sense of national pride and gave our Grand Prix extra shine,” Lammers continued. “Across the week, 305,000 people attended the race week. Almost unnoticed, Thursday—thanks to strong demand for corporate hospitality—has grown into a day when thousands of guests are already at the circuit. We tend to take the success of the Dutch Grand Prix for granted after so many years, but it’s anything but ordinary. Just consider that we manage to bring 98% of our visitors here by public transport or bicycle—that still amazes fellow organizers abroad.”

Van Overdijk is convinced that the Dutch Grand Prix will stun the world one last time in 2026. “The build-up to the finale begins today. We’re going to make it an unforgettable Final Lap.”
