The official trophies for the latest edition of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN DUTCH GRAND PRIX were handcrafted by Royal Delft from ceramic and finished in the iconic Delft Blue style. The artwork for the trophies was designed by FashionTech pioneer Anouk Wipprecht and artist, creator, and innovator Don Diablo.

Tradition Meets Technology with Anouk Wipprecht
The trophies for the winner and the manufacturer were designed by internationally renowned designer Anouk Wipprecht. In collaboration with Royal Delft, she brings together centuries-old ceramic craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology in a unique and contemporary design.
“For me, technology is most interesting when it’s not just functional, but when it gives an object a new form of expression. In this trophy, I translate the dynamics of Formula 1® into light, transforming the traditional ceramic object into an interactive, almost living interface,” said Anouk Wipprecht.
Don Diablo combines futuristic imagery with Delft Blue
Don Diablo designed the painted decoration for the second- and third-place trophies. Starting at the base and extending upward all around, the design features a traditional Delft Blue landscape with windmills, sailing ships, and maritime elements. Starting with floral decorations at the neck, the design gradually transitions into a sky—designed by him—filled with hexagonal shapes, a recurring element in Don Diablo’s creative work.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to have been able to design these trophies for the Dutch Grand Prix. I also grew up with Delft Blue, and my main goal was to preserve the cultural value and history of this legacy as much as possible. To top it all off, the polymorphic shapes and chrome details give the trophy the futuristic edge for which I’ve become known as a visual artist. In this way, the past, present, and future are captured in a single image,” explains Don Diablo.
Royal Delft: Centuries-Old Craftsmanship
All trophies are crafted from high-quality ceramic and are entirely handmade and hand-painted by the artisans and master painters of Royal Delft in the studio in Delft. The floral decorations and characteristic landscapes draw on motifs that have long been synonymous with the craftsmanship and rich tradition of Royal Delft.
