Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix: The Ultimate Race Festival
ZANDVOORT – With 104 days to go until the return of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix (1-3 May 2020), the renovation of the circuit is on schedule. In addition, important steps are being taken in the field of entertainment, partnerships and promotion. All this to fulfill the promise: The Ultimate Race Festival. That was announced today on January 17, 2020 during a meeting with media representatives.
First artists and DJ’s announced
In addition to the battle for the grand prix of the Netherlands and the accompanying spectacle on the track, the best Dutch DJ’s and artists will perform in the Fanzone of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix for an unforgettable show.
The first names of artists were announced on January 17, namely: Davina Michelle, Freddy Moreira, Guus Meeuwis, Kriss Kross Amsterdam, Lil Kleine, Lucas & Steve, Nick & Simon and Sam Feldt.
Remnant cards for sale
Today, January 17, the Dutch Grand Prix offers a small number of remaining weekend tickets for Saturday and Sunday (May 2 & 3). These tickets became available after the stands were drawn up and arranged more precisely and because part of our operational buffers were released for the fans. In total it only concerns a few hundred cards. 95% of the Saturday tickets (2 May) have been sold, the remainder of the Saturday tickets will also be on sale on 17 January at www.DutchGP.com.
From January 17, the Dutch Grand Prix will also start broadcasting a TV commercial on the various Talpa TV channels for a period of ten days. Although the admission tickets are as good as sold, the organization wants to use this commercial to make clear before the event what the visitors can expect and help create the Ultimate Race Festival feeling.
The work is being carried out as planned. Curb stones are currently being installed and very soon the new asphalt layer will follow. This major operation is being performed by event partner VolkerWessels. The FIA and KNAF have been involved since the start of the renovation work. The FIA Race Director F1 visited the circuit at the beginning of December and again there was another visit at the beginning of January. FIA is confident that all work will be completed on time and in accordance with all FIA guidelines. The actual Grade-1 license will be issued once all work has been completed. This may only be shortly before the start of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix.
Official 538 Dutch Grand Prix Village
Radio 538 is the naming partner of the Official 538 Dutch Grand Prix Village. This campsite offers F1 fans a special experience: camping four nights a few hundred meters from the circuit in pre-arranged accommodations. The packages, including a Bronze passepartout. That went on sale on January 17 at 10.30 am via www.dutchgp.com. This offer also includes a large number of extras, such as a pitwalk on Thursday evening, the first to enter the Fanzone, live preview and, for example, breakfast sessions with Jan Lammers.
Super Friday in collaboration with Jumbo
Jumbo has been a proud sponsor of Max Verstappen from the very first hour. This led to four editions of the Jumbo racing days with 100 thousands of racing enthusiasts at Circuit Zandvoort. Now that the pinnacle event in motorsport with Max Verstappen is coming back to the Netherlands, Jumbo cannot be missed. Jumbo embraces Friday. Dutch Grand Prix organizes together with Jumbo the Super Friday on 1 May. Jumbo would not be Jumbo if a large public campaign was not organized to make this day accessible to a large audience. Jumbo will announce the details of this promotion at a later stage.

Holland Casino works together with Dutch Grand Prix to position Zandvoort even better and to be part of this unique event.
Erwin van Lambaart, CEO of Holland Casino, is proud of the collaboration with Dutch Grand Prix and the Zandvoort Circuit and said the following: “Zandvoort is an important place for us. As a close neighbor of the circuit and as a company within the municipality of Zandvoort and the immediate region, we would like to contribute to the development of Zandvoort. The circuit and the Dutch Grand Prix are great crowd pullers and has a real national and orange feel. That is what we also stand for. Like many in the Netherlands, we are looking forward to a special event with hopefully a leading role for our own Max Verstappen.”

companie will take care of all traffic measures and sanitation around the four-day Ultimate Race Festival in May.
“It’s in our back yard, we’re going to do what we can do very well and meanwhile we’re part of an event that we’re a big fan of ourselves. We are really looking forward to that.” The parties will enter into cooperation for the next three years.
