Get ready for the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix on September 3, 4, and 5! The best drivers in the world will be at the start of the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort and more than a hundred thousand racing fans will be on the edge of their seats. The Technical Pitlane Assistant’s field of work is right in the middle of the action: the pit lane. Between race sessions, during free practice or qualifying, this is where the F1 cars are assessed for weight and other technical aspects. It is the Technical Pitlane Assistant’s job to safely maneuver the cars towards the scales in the FIA pit boxes and assist with other work in the pitlane. The chosen candidates will receive training in the run-up to the event and an official KNAF license, which entitles them to work as an official in the pit lane.

Team VolkerWessels

The Technical Pitlane Assistant is part of Team VolkerWessels, a group of 450 enthusiastic VolkerWessels colleagues who, in addition to their daily work as supervisors, work planners, branch managers, or receptionists, volunteer for three days on the Dutch Grand Prix circuit.

Alfred Vos, COO of VolkerWessels: “We are looking for real team players who get energy from speed, dynamics, and hard work. People who take initiative, who dare to act, and who look at things from a critical and fresh perspective. It is great that as one of the official event supporters we can offer this spectacular position for three days, but we also look to the future. The qualities we are asking for are useful everywhere in our company and we are constantly looking for people who want to build with us on innovation and improvement and make tomorrow possible. By taking part in Team VolkerWessels for three days, you become part of a very diverse group of people with a wide range of expertise, just like we have within VolkerWessels.”
